I'm an award-winning photographer who aspires to be a Director of Photography. Everything happens for a reason, it’s just not always clear what that reason may be at the time. I joined the University Officer Training Corps (OTC) in 2001 as I started studying for my first degree. The memory and impact of that degree has long since faded but the same can’t be said for the effect the OTC had on me. That feeling of being part of a team harmoniously working collectively with a focused determination to achieve a common goal is something I have been looking to experience again for over two decades. That search is over, now I have experienced working on a live set. I know this because when I was wrapped on my first credit, I asked the 3rd AD if I could stay. I wanted to take full advantage of my first experience on set. It’s taken a long time and I wasn’t aware of it until working on Rebus but since leaving the OTC my life has circled back to that feeling of belonging within a team.
